XFL comeback story

By Karver Jordan, Class of 2024

You may ask yourself who is James Harden? No, not that James Harden. James Harden is a football player who has not got many changes in his football career. Harden is a wide receiver and running back and has recently played in the FCFL (Fan Controlled Football League). James Harden is 27 years old and is still waiting for that phone call from an NFL team.

Harden didn’t get noticed out of high school, which would cause him to go to community college to play football. Harden has been fighting for the NFL dream. He is getting close to his dreams. Harden has been standing outside NFL stadiums with a sign. The sign said, “1 chance Jerry Jones. I am a true athlete.”

Harden recently got an XFL draft invite. This would get him a lot more chances. The FCFL really helped him get his name out there. Harden played for the Zappers and bounced around some other teams in the FCF. He recently competed against Terrel Owens, going stride for stride. Josh Gordan was given one last chance by The FCF, and he took it. Gordan took the chance and returned to the NFL.

Harden has a heart for the game and is determined to improve his future. You can just tell he loves the game of football and wants this to be his life.

Harden has been super talented and can bring many different skills to an offense in need of that play-making ability. James Harden is 5’7”—don’t let that underestimate him. A player I would compare him to is the size and heart of Dion Lewis but that playmaker ability like Cordarrele Patterson.

Harden has game-breaking speed—21 m.p.h. Harden reaches top speed in 10-12 yards.

James Harden will be in the XFL in 2023, we will see how his career goes from here.
