MVP Caliber Talent

By Karver Jordan, Class of 2024

Ed Crouch is the MVP of the Fan Controlled Football League. Crouch is a quarterback in the FCF who has been excellent in his young career. He is a great person on and off the field. I’ve been watching his career from jumping league to league. Crouch got a championship and is the best player in the FCF.

In Crouch's career in the FCF, he has attempted 91 passes and has completed 53 of those passes. In his whole career, he has 903 yards. Crouch has 17 touchdown passes and 5 interceptions. Remember, this in a different league where the fields are only 50 yards long. Crouch is also very mobile and can make plays with his feet. He has 61 rushing attempts for 408 yards with 15 touchdowns. Crouch is very young and will build off these numbers.

Crouch is 6 feet tall’ so people may look at his size and judge him on that. A player I would compare Crouch to is Russel Wilson. Crouch's playmaker ability is just like prime-time Russel Wilson's. Crouch has been playing football since 6 years old. Back when he was in Pee Wee football he won the super bowl in his league.

Steven Jackson was Crouch's favorite player when he was growing up. Crouch claimed that Trevone Boykin or Cam Newton are the best comparisons for his playing style. When asked about his favorite NFL team as a child, he responded that it was the St. Louis Rams, now known as the L.A. Rams. Run This Town by JAY-Z is Crouch's song. I also questioned Crouch’s go-to meal of choice following a lengthy game. Chipotle, Ed responded. I asked him one last time about his favorite play from elementary school. He rolled the defender over into the end zone on the game-winning play while he was on the 3-yard line in the championship game.

Crouch should be in the FCF this year again. The fans look forward to seeing the MVP again. Crouch will strive this year with the support of the fans.
